But where does this bright idea to teach with LEGO® bricks come from?
The concept of Bricks 4 Kidz® was created in 2008 by a mother, Michelle Cote, in Florida (USA). Michelle then offered the children extracurricular activities in Spanish. In the spring of 2008, filling in the forms to become a Spanish speaker in the school environment, Michelle noticed a category “Creative Science”. Her loving son playing with LEGO® bricks, and she thought, “Maybe I should run a creative science workshop with LEGO bricks?”
Michelle was accepted for Spanish and for the creative science workshop with LEGO® bricks. She had three children enrolled in the Spanish workshop, but 35 children enrolled in the activity with LEGO® bricks!
In front of the craze for this new workshop, Michelle duplicated the activity in other schools, and the interest was confirmed! The adventure Bricks 4 Kidz® then began …
Bricks 4 Kidz® now has over 600 locations in more than 40 countries.
In Switzerland and France, Bricks 4 Kidz® is a company led by Valérie COUDERC, master-franchisee of the network. With the help of an experienced team, Valérie wants to become a major player in the animation of “creative science” workshops!
