Bricks 4 Kidz® boosts STEM learning in Switzerland

It’s been only two years since our founder Valérie Couderc introduced the Bricks 4 Kidz® concept in Switzerland, but word is spreading fast among children, parents and teachers and demand for our educational workshops, parties and holiday camps continue to grow.

In 2016, we moved our creativity centre in St-Sulpice to a bigger, better, brighter venue around the corner to celebrate our 2^nd birthday. It’s a much more welcoming space, as you’ve told us, and we love receiving our children here.

Working with schools

We are also working with an increasing number of schools across Switzerland (From Montreux to Geneva, accross Genthod, Nyon, Aubonne, Etoy and Lausanne) offering workshops to help the children boost their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills in an interactive, fun way.

The Bricks 4 Biz® arm of our business – because yes, adults play LEGO® bricks too – is also becoming a talking point among HR directors, who are looking for team building events that won’t cause their staff to roll their eyes. This year, we worked with the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and hosted the Christmas party event at Louis Vuitton.

Making headlines

We had three open days in 2016 during which we welcomed many of you – parents, children and teachers and chatted to you about what we do.

We’ve also been featured in the media – La Côte, Le Serpeliou, et le Journal de Morges, who took the time to visit us and tell our story. In January, we have been invited by the RTS in their Radio show “On en parle” on the theme ” There is no age to play with LEGO® bricks”. In October, Rouge FM came on air for their program “Rouge FM pay your invoices and offer our activities to their audience. Know-it-all passport has published an article about the inauguration of our new center.Thank you for your support.

Valérie believes the traditional appeal of LEGO® bricks in Switzerland and a strong educational focus on science and technology, is behind the success of the company.

“Parents want their children to learn about technology in a constructive way – not just playing computer games. They are also seeking out innovative ways to boost maths and science skills.”

Kicking off 2017 on a positive note

We feel like we’re ending the year on a high  – and hope to continue on the same note into 2017.

If you haven’t yet booked childcare for February holidays or just need some time for you, bring your child along to our holiday workshops in St-Sulpice, at Aquilae in Geneva, and at Riviera School in Montreux.

The children will get to let their imagination run wild to create amazing world around our themes. There’ll be lots of opportunities to let off S.T.E.M. during our guided competitions and games.
